Mrs. Schneider and Ms. Miller welcome you and your child(ren) back to physical education! Feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions or concerns. Your child has p.e. class once a week. Please have your child wear tennis shoes to p.e. class. The following is this year's schedule:

Cross Country Practice Schedule

Waters Landing Elementary has a cross country program for interested fourth and fifth grade boys and girls who would like to participate in practice and/or meets. Practices will be held on Tuesdays for fourth graders and Thursdays for fifth graders, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. If your child has a scheduling conflict, he/she will be allowed to attend the other practice being held that week. Prior approval will be necessary. Practice will be held in the gym during rainy days. Parents must complete and turn in a permission form in order for their child(ren) to participate. The practice schedule is as follows:

Halloween Young Run

The NASA Federal Halloween Young Run is a special, non-competitive running event just for kids 12 and under. It's the largest event of its kind in the region and one of the largest kids runs in the nation. It is designed for every kid to be a winner and to discover that Running is Fun! Three Races - Pick One! Set your goal and pick your distance. Races begin at 9:00 a.m.

This year's beneficiaries are Sports Plus, a year-round, co-ed sports, fitness and swim programs for children between the ages of 5 and 14 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD and other developmental disabilities, and the Rockville Youth Recreation Fund, which offers financial assistance so Rockville's youth can participate in recreation programs.
